An immigrant ship carrying more than 700 passengers was intercepted tonight outside Palestinian waters and is being brought into Haifa under escort by a British naval patrol.

Jewish informants here, who revealed the number of visaless Jews aboard the vessel, said that she was called the “29th of November,” the date that the U.N. General Assembly voted partition. Her port of origin is not yet known, nor the nationality of her passengers.
