Professor Albert Einstein and Dr. Leo Baeck, former Chief Rabbi of Berlin, today appealed to American and Palestinian Jewry not ?o “permit themselves to be driven into a mood of despair and false heroism which Eventually results in suicidal measure” in a letter to the New York Times expressing support of a recent statement by Dr. Judah Magnes and other members other Ichud Group in Palestine. The Magnes statement urged acceptance of a temporary trusteeship for Palestine.
