The Latin American office of the Joint Distribution Committee is sending a representative to Bogota to study the needs of Jews there for credit and other forms of constructive aid in recovering from the damage to their property during the recent anti-government uprising. The J.D.C. office, located in Buenos Aires, has learned that the Bogota Jews are not in need of immediate relief assistance.

Charles Jordan, former director of the J.D.C. in Shanghai, sailed for Paris this week to assume the post of director of its immigration service in Europe. During the past few years the service has aided some 45,000 Jewish refugees to resettle in the United States, Palestine and other countries.
