An appeal for contributions of 250 Scrolls and 10,000 sets of phylacteries for use in Europe for the High Holy Days, has been issued to the American Jewish Community by the S.O.S. Collection of the Joint Distribution Committee, it was announced here today. The religious articles are needed for newly-established congregations, temples and synagogues in 14 European countries and in the DP camps of Germany, Austria and Italy.
