A Jewish group formed to sponsor a social service mission to Palestine “to relieve the suffering of Jews and Arabs alike” today launched a fund-raising drive here.
Leaders in the now group, motivated by the desire to “give expression to the universalistic ethics of Judaism” include Dr. Leo Baeck, former Chief Rabbi of Germany; Prof. Norman Bentwich, former Attorney-General of Palestine, and Victor Gollancz, prominent London publisher.
