Israeli Government Recalling Its Young Citizens and Permanent Residents from U.S.

Acting in conformity with Israeli recruiting regulations, the Israeli Consulate General today announced the recalling from the United States of all Israeli citizens and permanent residents in the following categories: Men born between 1908 and 1930; and women born between 1920 and 1930, not married or married with no children.

All who fall into these categories must return to Israel immediately. Excluded from this order are students who have completed three years of studies in medicine, pharmacology, veterinary subjects, agriculture and engineering of essential industries which are not taught in Israel. Persons who wish to apply for release must address themselves in writing to the Consulate General in New York.
