Few Jews Among First Dp’s to Enter United States in October Under New Law

Very few Jews will be included among 1,650 displaced persons from the U.S. zone of Germany who will be the first immigrants to arrive in the United States this month under the terms of the Displaced Persons Act of 1948, it was learned here today.

The Bavarian Government today appointed Dr. Philip Auerbach, former state commissioner for persecutees, to represent the Bavarian Jewish community in the new radio advisory council formed to aid the provincial officials plan future radio operations within Bavaria.
