Michael Nisselson Named President of National Jewish Occupational Council

Michael M. Nisselson was elected to the presidency of the national Jewish Occupational Council, it was announced here today by Herman A. Gray, chairman of the board.

A member of the Mayor’s Committee on Unity and on the panel of arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association, Nisselson has served as treasurer of the J.O.C. since 1942. In assuming the presidency he fills a post left vacant by the death of Professor Morris Raphael Cohen two years ago. The J.O.C. is a national association of Jewish organizations concerned with the problems of unemployment, job placement and vocational guidance.
