The City College student strike for the suspension, pending an open trial, of two instructors charged with anti-Jewish and anti-Semitic bias was “suspended” by its leaders yesterday. In a statement distributed on the campus, the Student Council Strike Committee declared that the strike had had its maximum effect in making the case a “tremendous public issue.” The committee pledged further efforts to arouse public and student opinion “until our school is rid of bigotry.”
