Judge Louis E. Levinthal, former president of the Zionist Organization of America, will receive the annual award of the National Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs of the United Synagogue of America at the organization’s national convention, opening here tomorrow. The convention will continue through Sunday.

The award, conferred annually upon an “American Jew for distinguished service to the Jewish community,” will be presented by Stanley Garten, former president of the 20,000-member organization, to Judge Levinthal for “his service as advisor to Gen. Clay on Jewish affairs and for many other important contributions to Jewish life.” Last year’s recipient of the award was Henry Morgenthau Jr., general chairman of the United Jewish Appeal.
