New York labor union members are pressured into contributing to the United Jewish Appeal and to Israel, it was charged here today by columnist Westbrook Pegler in testimony on “undemocratic practices” in unions before a House labor subcommittee. Mr. Pegler told the subcommittee that he knew of one woman from the International Ladies Garment Workers Union who said she might be present at the hearing.
