Formation of an Essex County organization encompassing Orthodox, Conservative and Reform rabbinical and lay leaders was announced here at a meeting attended by delegates of 21 synagogues. The new group endorsed a program to increase membership in the country’s synagogues by the High Holy Days in September. Plans for promotion of religious activities in the area were also discussed.
