Negotiations for the conclusion of an Israeli Uruguayan trade pact which have been conducted here for some time, have been suspended temporarily, it was learned today.

Herman Hollander, official of the Israeli Ministry of Commerce, who represented the Jewish state in these talks, has departed for Argentina. He is expected to return here at the end of August to resume talks. Prior to his departure he expressed the opinion that the prospects for reaching a trade agreement with Uruguay are good.

The Uruguayan state trust Frigorifico National today reported that it sold its first transport of 500 tons of kosher meat to Israel. Further transactions are expected.
