Soviet scientists were urged to “unmask the cosmopolitan ideology preaching the existence of a worldwide Jewish nation,” it was revealed here in a report appearing in the Soviet historical journal “Voprosy Istorii” published here today.

The report says that V.B. Lutsky, Soviet expert on Middle Eastern affairs, addressed a meeting of the Moscow branch of the Institute of Oriental Studies at the Soviet Academy of Sciences during which he stressed the necessity of intensifying the campaign against Zionism.

Declaring that Zionism is a “reactionary ideology of Jewish bourgeois nationalism,” the Soviet expert is reported to have said that the struggle against Zionism “has never been cancelled” and has assumed particular importance now because “Zionism represents one of the most active weapons of the American-English policy in the Near East.”

The Soviet theoretician also claimed that “Zionism now serves as a weapon of disruptive activity in the hands of Anglo-American warmongers” in countries outside of England and the United States. In calling upon the scientists to “unmask” the theory that there is such a thing as a “worldwide Jewish nation,” Lutsky emphasized that this theory was subjected to “devastating criticism” by Lenin and Stalin years ago.
