Permission had to be obtained from the Bank of England today for the transfer of 15 Torahs from Britain to Israel. The Torahs were transported by three British Mizrachi delegates who left here this morning to attend a World Mizrachi conference in Jerusalem Sunday.

Another shipment of Scrolls will be taken to Israel by three other Mizrachi delegates who are scheduled to leave later this week. The Scrolls–twelve of which were donated by Liverpool synagogues, twelve by London synagogues and several of which were donated by private individuals–are being brought to Israel at the request of the Ministry of Religion.
