The Egyptian Government will not permit the hoisting of an Israel flag at the United Nations Regional Health Meeting scheduled to open in Alexandria on September 12, it was reported here today from Cairo. The barring of the Israel emblem from flying alongside the national flags of other participants in the conference was announced despite the fact that Israel delegates to the parley have reportedly been granted Egyptian visas.

The decision to admit Israel representatives to Egypt to attend the U.N. health parley provoked a discussion in the Egyptian Cabinet, Reuters reported. The report said that Premier Sirry Pasha declared that the admission of the Israel envoys did not imply recognition of the state of Israel. He emphasized that the invitation to attend the meeting in Alexandria was extended not by Egypt but by U.N. headquarters at Lake Success.
