Christian Sabbath Observance Body Protests British Zionist Affair Held on a Sunday

The Lord’s Day Observance Society of this city objected to the holding of a garden party yesterday by the Manchester Zionist Association.

The Society insisted that the party would violate the Sunday Observance Act. The Zionist body, however, held its affair after it was advised by counsel that as long as it did not charge admission it could lawfully hold the garden party.
