The biennial convention of the American Jewish Congress will be held in New York City on November 9-13, it was announced here today following the meeting of the administrative committee of the organization. One of the major problems before the convention will be the election of a president to succeed the late Dr. Stephen S. Wise.

The administrative committee affirmed the action of the executive committee of the A.J.C. which last May directed the revocation of the charter of the Metropolitan Chapter of Detroit on the grounds of “wilful breaches of organizational discipline” and deliberate and repeated defiance of the properly constituted policy-making bodies of the Congress.
