Morris M. Greenwald, former finance director of the Welfare Council of New York, has been appointed director of the Joint Defense Appeal, fund-raising arm of the American Jewish Committee and the Anti-Defamation League, it was announced here today. Mr. Greenwald served previously as New York director of the American Fund for Palestinian Institutions and the American ORT Federation.
