Jewish inmates of California prisons make up 1,4 percent of the total prison population, it was revealed in a report made public here by the Jewish Committee for Public Service on the basis of a survey by Dr. Rudolph I. Coffee, Jewish chaplain for state prisons. The Jewish community makes up five percent of the total population of California.
