In a statement issued here by the British Legation and signed by Sir Desmond J.F. Morton, British deputy chairman of the United Nations Economic Survey Mission, the British member denied he had ever advocated any project for the settlement of Palestine Arab refugees in Syria and Transjordan.
The statement added that Sir Desmond also denied he had supported the idea of an international regime for Jerusalem. He stressed that no such plan had been submitted to the U.N. body by him or anyone else of that visiting group.
