The six-day triennial convention of the National Council of Jewish Women opened here last night with more than 700 delegates representing the council’s sections in 232 cities in attendance.
Mrs. Joseph M. Welt, president, reported on the major developments of the last triennial period, including a project in support of the School of Education at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and the reactivation of the International Council of Jewish Women, of which she is also the president.
