A 55,000,000 pound ($158,000,000) program for various development projects which has already been approved by the Cabinet will be submitted to the Knesset next month for final action, Finance Minister Eliezer Kaplan declared today.

Speaking at Petach Tikvah at cornerstone laying ceremonies for a housing project for Israel Army veterans who are members of Histadrut unions, Mr. Kaplan said that the development program, the budget for which has already been passed by the Parliament, will include agricultural and industrial projects.

Meanwhile, a new settlement named for Haviva Reik, a Jewish heroine who parachuted behind the Nazi lines during the war on a mission for the Allies and was captured and executed, was dedicated yesterday. The agricultural colony will be located on 3,000 dunams of land, the area ceded by Transjordan to Israel in the central Palestine front.
