The incorporation of Jerusalem within the state of Israel, and close cooperation between Israel and the Diaspora (Jews dispersed in various countries), were urged yesterday in resolutions adopted at a world Rabbinical Conference here, attended by rabbis from France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Luxembourg.

Rabbi Judah L. Maimon, Israel Minister of Religion who was the guest of honor, stressed that the rules of religion must be “in harmony with the necessities underlying the existence of the state,” and he emphasized the importance of the Beth Din as the first step toward the reestablishment of the Sanhedrin, the ancient tribunals of elders.
