The Jewish Committee for Relief Abroad has announced its decision to end operations in the U.S. zone of Germany by the end of November. The announcement said that costs in the American zone were out of proportion to the contributions which the Committee could now make.
Before leaving the zone, the Committee will make the largest possible distribution of supplies to the displaced persons camps. Beginning next month, it will concentrate its efforts in the British zone, the announcement stated.
