Israel and Jordan medical representatives met today in no-man’s land and discussed common action against epidemics of malaria, smallpox and other diseases affecting both countries.

Simultaneously, other Israel and Jordan representatives met to discuss the deportation of deserters of the Arab Legion who crossed into Israel territory last month. The Jordan military authorities have offered a full pardon to the deserters who, however, refuse to return and say that they prefer to remain in Israel.
