Contributors in the New York City area have pledged a total of $25,000,000 to the United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York up to the present, Jack D. Weiler, a general chairman of the city drive, announced this week-end. This sum exceeds the pledges of 1949, Mr. Weiler declared.
