The Board of Deputies of British Jews has received assurances from the German Department of the British Foreign Office that a close watch is being kept on anti-Semitic manifestations in Germany and that the government is determined not to tolerate anti-Semitic incidents, it was announced here this weekend by the Board.

The Board also received a report on the progress being made in the establishment of a Jewish trust corporation to administer heirless Jewish property in the British zone of Germany. Arrangements for the institution are nearing completion, it was stated, and the trust corporation will start functioning in the near future. Barnett Janner will represent the Board of Deputies on the Council of the corporation.
