Trust to Administer Heirless Jewish Property Will Begin Functioning in British Zone

The British Trust Corporation, which will administer heirless Jewish property in the British zone of Germany, is expected to begin functioning shortly in Dusseldorf, it was learned here today. The corporation, which has already been constituted as a British company, expects to receive its formal authorization from the British military authorities in Germany within a few days.

Heading the corporation’s council is Sir Henry Davigdor Goldemid of the Central British Fund for Jewish Relief and Rehabilitation, which has also named three members to the council. In addition, the Joint Distribution Committee, Jewish Agency and the Jewish Communities of the British Zone have each been allotted three representatives on the council, while the Board of Deputies of British Jews, Anglo-Jewish Association, Agudas Israel and Council for the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Jews from Germany have been allowed one representative each.
