The Canadian Minister of Immigration has agreed ## hold up approval of any applications of members of the Ukrainian Galician Division for immigration to Canada in order to give the Canadian Jewish Congress an opportunity ## submit evidence that the Galician Division, which was formed by Hitler during the ## World War, is composed of persons who participated in the mass murder of Jews ##der Nazi instructions.
The Canadian Jewish Congress is continuing its search for data in support of ##ts assertions concerning the fascist and anti-democratic activities of the Ukrainian ##vision. It will submit all facts to the government as soon as they are collated. ## the meantime, the Congress has been assured that if the facts presented by it are correct, the members of the Ukrainian division will not be able to pass security ##rcening. The Minister of Immigration has also promised the Canadian Jewish Congress complete cooperation in its investigation.
