Dr. Sean T. O’Kelly, President of Eire, yesterday received the Israel delegation to the conference of the Inter-Parliamentary Union at his official residence in Phoenix Park. The delegation was subsequently honored at a state reception given by Premier John A. Costello at the Gresham Hotel. Leading members of the Irish Jewish community attended the reception.
The delegation was also tendered a series of receptions by the Jewish community, culminating in a reception in Mansion House attended by more than half the Jewish population of Dublin. During the reception, small groups of anti-Semites demonstrated in the streets, denouncing the authorities for permitting the Jews to use the Mansion House.
