The suspension of arms deliveries by Britain to Egypt, Jordan and Iraq has been lifted, according to Arab sources here. It was also reported today that the suspension of negotiations between Israel and Britain for arms has been ended.

The Arab report asserts that although the ban has been lifted on most weapons, jet aircraft, radar equipment and heavy tanks will not be exported. Egypt, which has ordered such equipment, is reported protesting violently against the breach of contract involved.

The British Foreign Office is considering further steps following receipt of an Egyptian reply to a joint British-American-Norwegian protest against the Egyptian Government’s establishment of a blacklist of vessels carrying cargoes destined for Israel, a Foreign Office spokesman said yesterday. The spokesman stated that the Egyptian Government had not answered the main British contentions.
