An Israel military spokesman announced today that the regular fortnightly convoys to Mt. Scopus–site of the Hebrew University and Hadassah Hospital, which is in Arab hands–did not leave today because the Arab Legion has made new demands, “which deviate from the present procedure, approved by Gen. William Riley, U.N. Palestine truce chief.”

The Israel spokesman said that the Jordanians now demand control of the convoy stationed in the Hadassah Hospital courtyard, as well as those going to and returning from Mt. Scopus.
