American Jews have carried out business transactions with Israel through the ANPAL–American Palestine Trading Corporation–to the extent of $70,000,000, it was reported yesterday by Abrahax Dickenstein, president of AMPAL, at the annual stookholders luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria.
Mr. Dickenstein revealed that 16,000 American Jews are holders of AMPAL shares and bonds. Principal speakers at the dinner included Israel Ambassador Abba Eban, Robert R. Nathan, economic director of the Jewish Agency, and Abraham Harmon, director of the Israel Office of Information.
