A statewide conference of Orthodox Jewish congregations, meeting here, adopted a resolution calling on Gov. Lodge and the General assembly to set an alternate date for some municipal elections in the state this year because the date fixed conflicts with Roach Hashanah.

Municipal elections have been scheduled for Oct. 1 in many towns throughout the ###ate. The resolution asks for an alternative date so that observant Jews will not be ###prived of the right to vote.
