Jewish Centers to Spend $13,130,000 on Building Programs

Forty-three Jewish Community Centers in 40 communities–in 20 states– embarked on building programs involving the erection of new structures or the remodelling of exciting facilities with a total estimated cost of $13,130,000 during the year ended August 31, 1951, it was reported today by the National Jewish Welfare Board.

In the three years from September 1,1948 to August 31, 1951, the J.W.B. report revealed, Jewish centers launched building programs estimated to cost $43,130,000. During these years 69 new or remodelled Center structures were completed at a cost of $14,530,000.
