Jewish Agency Functions in U.s Divided Among Executive Members

The Jewish Agency executive today announced selection of the following executive members to head the Jewish Agency departments in New York:

Immigration Department, Mr. Zvi Lurie; Culture and Education Department Dr. Hayim Greenberg; Economic Department, Mrs. Rose Halprin; Latin American and Organization Departments, Mr. Baruch Zuckerman; Public Relations Department, Dr. Nahum Goldmann, chairman of the Jewish Agency for Palestine; Youth and Chalutziut Department, a committee comprising Mr. David Bet-Aryeh, Mrs. Rose Halprin, Mr. Zvi Lurie and Mr. Baruch Zuckerman will deal with program and policy.

The executive appointed Dr. Israel Goldstein to act as liaison between the Jewish Agency and the United Jewish Appeal, the Israel Bond Drive, and other funds. Mr. Benjamin Browdy and Mr. David Bet-Aryeh were elected to serve in an advisory capacity on all matters relating to the Economic Department.
