Regret was expressed at the U.N. Political Committee here today over the fact that the representative of Western Germany in his first appearance before the United Nations did not feel it necessary to condemn the Nazi regime and to express sympathy for its victims.

The regret was voiced by the Israeli delegate, Maurice Fischer, speaking at the Political Committee. He expressed the hope that the Committee will take note of this fact. Mr. Fischer is expected to make another statement in the Committee tomorrow.
