Israel Consulate in New York Honors Guatemalan U.N. Representative

Dr. Jorge Garcia Granados, representative of Guatemala at the United Nations, was tendered a reception last night by the Israel Consulate here while passing through New York en route to Israel. He has been invited by the Government of Israel to visit the Jewish State.

Dr. Granados played an outstanding role in the U.N. decision on the partition of Palestine and the creation of the Jewish State. He is the author of the book “The Birth of Israel.” He was warmly greeted at the reception by Shmuel Bendor. Acting Consul General of Israel in New York.
