The establishment of a “University of the World” in Jerusalem where Jews of differing opinions might come to exchange ideas was advocated here today by Dr. Louis Finkelstein, head of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, at a luncheon in his honor tendered by the Jewish Agency and presided over by British Chief Rabbi Israel Brodie. Dr. Finkelstein also revealed that the Seminary plans to set up a “dormitory” in Jerusalem where its students and teachers might spend a year getting the “feel” of Israel.
