Guayala Decsi has been deposed as Hungarian Minister of Justice, it was reported here today on the radio. The announcer said that Decsi was arrested along with two other high officials of the Communist government who were also Jews.
Another report received here from Budapest said that a Prof. Bendex, head doctor at Budapest’s Jewish Hospital, has been arrested along with several other Jewish physicians. The doctors were accused of using Joint Distribution Committee funds for espionage in Hungary. The Jewish Hospital in Budapest was supported by JDC funds.
