Adlai Stevenson today crossed into Israel at the Mandelbaum Gate to the Old City, which lies in Jordan territory. He went first to the American consulate in this city and later was received by President Ben Zvi. This evening he was a guest at a cocktail party and official dinner given by Premier David Ben Gurion. Tomorrow, he is scheduled to go to Tel Aviv, and later tour the Negev and Galilee.
