The forthcoming Middle East regional conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has been abandoned because of Arab hostility to Israel.
At the opening here today of a meeting of the UNESCO executive board representatives of Iraq and Lebanon declared that the representatives of the Arab states would not attend the regional parley.
