Nazi victims from all parts of Germany, who are affiliated with the Social Democratic Party, met here to deliberate on proposed amendments to the Federal Indemnification Law and to agree on the most pressing.
Speaking on the proposed settlement of claims over a ten-year period, Prof. Herman Brill, of Frankfurt University, who spent more than 10 years as a prisoner in Buchenwald concentration camp, stressed that all could and should be taken care of within three or four years. If there were difficulties about financing, one should not forget to levy the necessary funds from “those circles who during the war made profits running into the billions by employing slave labor,” he said.
