The Haifa Technical Institute is faced with a financial crisis of such depth that the school may be forced to close its doors, it was learned here today. Unless the Israel Government offers aid, the battle to keep the school open seems lost.

The Technion has been unable to raise additional funds. The government has been unable to provide the difference between operating costs and receipts. The school administration made an attempt to raise tuition fees, but this move was opposed by the students.
