Frank Samuel, president of the United Synagogue, central body of Ashkenazi Jewish congregations, died here this week-end at the age of 65. Mr. Samuel was also a member of the Council of the Anglo-Jewish Association and was connected with other aspects of Jewish communal life in Britain. The Council of the United Synagogue today issued a statement of mourning in which it noted his devoted service to the organization for the past 29 years.
