Appointment as a justice of the Superior Court in Dusseldorf, Germany, has been refused by a German Jew who was expelled from the German bar by the Hitler regime in 1933, it was disclosed here today.

The appointment was offered to Dr. Julius Pfeiffer, who left Germany after his disbarment and established himself in a new career here as a chartered accountant. His family joined him here after the war. He has notified the German Minister of Justice that he has declined the appointment and wishes to remain in Canada.
