Senate Votes Medal to Irving Berlin for His Patriotic Songs

The Senate approved legislation authorizing President Eisenhower to present a gold medal to Irving Berlin in recognition of his patriotic songs. The bill, which now goes to the House, authorizes the appropriation of $1,500 for the design and striking of a gold medal for Mr. Berlin.
