The Jordan Government has made a point-by-point reply to the British Government’s aide memoir outlining Anglo-American-French proposals for strengthening the United Nations truce organization in Palestine, the press reported today.

The report said that the Jordanian reply accepts some of the Big Three suggestions as providing a basis for further discussion and rejects all suggestions on direct talks or contact of any kind with Israel, The report says that the British Foreign Office is not displeased with the initial Jordan reaction, but the unofficial Israel view is that Jordan’s reply is little other than a diplomatic rejection.
