Administration plans to arm Arab League states will be discussed next week when Lord Alexander, British Minister of Defense, arrives here, it was learned here today.

Lord Alexander will arrive July 16 to confer with Secretary of Defense Charles E. Wilson on the defense situation in Europe and the Far East as well as the Middle East. It was learned from official sources that American proposals for strengthening Arab military forces will be advanced. Sir Harold Parker, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, and Sir Frederick Brundrett, deputy chairman of the Defense Research Policy Committee, will accompany Lord Alexander.

The British defense officials will be in Washington the same time as Maj. Gen. Moshe Dayan, Chief of Staff of the Israel defense forces, and two Israeli colonels. However, the simultaneous presence of both groups is considered as merely coincidental.
